Position overview

  • Join the Design and Product team to redefine the voice of Xapo Bank mobile application
  • Transform complexity into a seamless, premium and human-centric mobile experience
  • Audit and elevate user interface, smoothing friction from private banking and crypto flows
  • Own in-app content strategy to build trust and empower Members managing Bitcoin

Responsibilities

App Content Strategy & Voice

  • Define and own Content Design System and Voice & Tone guidelines ensuring brand consistency
  • Audit user flows, create strategic roadmap to improve Member experience
  • Collaborate with Legal and Compliance to simplify regulatory language without compromising accuracy

UX Writing & Execution

  • Craft microcopy, onboarding flows, error messages, instructional text for complex financial transactions
  • Work with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering to integrate content strategy from ideation
  • Simplify financial technology for a financially savvy but non-technical audience

Research & Optimisation

  • Conduct copy testing, sentiment analysis, comprehension research to ensure terminology resonates
  • Partner with Data and Product teams to analyze conversion funnels and iterate copy for success and retention

Thought Leadership & Influence

  • Advocate for Content Design and educate stakeholders on ROI of clear writing
  • Influence product roadmap to prioritize comprehension and usability
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other writers to foster writing excellence

Skills Needed

  • 5+ years UX Writing or Content Design experience in Fintech, Wealth Management, or Cryptocurrency
  • Proven track record improving usability, reducing support tickets, increasing conversion rates
  • Experience in regulated environments balancing legal constraints with clarity
  • Strong portfolio with end-to-end user journeys
  • Expertise simplifying financial jargon and terms
  • Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design
  • Familiarity with behavioral economics and language's influence on financial decision-making
  • Knowledge of localization best practices for global audiences
  • Understanding of mobile-first design patterns (iOS and Android)

Product

  • Self-starter owning the application's narrative in a scale-up environment
  • User-first mindset with focus on clarity and brevity
  • Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma, Sketch)
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and negotiate copy decisions using data and rationale
  • Data-informed decision-making and challenge status quo with first principles thinking
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional product teams
