Job Description
Define and evolve human-centered design practices across teams and portfolios, ensuring consistent, high-impact use of design thinking. Design and lead high-impact, cross-functional workshops to align business leaders, technologists, product managers and subject matter experts around customer outcomes and product strategies that drive business impact. Set and oversee user research strategy across multiple products and domains in aerospace, defense, operations and supply chain. Establish rigorous and impactful user research practices. Ensure insights inform product and business strategy. Own and drive end-to-end user experience outcomes across a portfolio of enterprise products with hands-on involvement from discovery through user adoption and sustainment. Communicate product vision, research insights and design strategy to executives and cross-functional leaders to drive alignment and action. Build strong, trust-based relationships with cross-functional leadership to ensure design excellence is embedded in product and technical decision-making. Shape design standards, patterns and systems that enable scalable, high-quality product experiences across the enterprise. Build, mentor and develop a high-performing design team. Fostering a culture of craft excellence, collaboration, career development and continuous learning.Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
- 10+ years of experience in digital product design including experience operating at a leadership level across multiple teams, products or domains.
- Advanced degree in HCI, human factors, or related field.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
- Led design for data-intensive, analytics, or AI/ML products.
- Led senior design teams in large, multi-business-unit enterprises.
