Communicate customer requirements through storytelling, interactive prototypes, and detailed visual/functional design specifications.Design and optimize products and interactions based on a thorough understanding of customer needs, context, and business objectives.
Propose solutions and processes to solve complex design challenges.
Apply and extend design patterns and devise new solutions for unique scenarios.
Facilitate and moderate customer research in 1-on-1 and group settings to gain insights that inform better business and design decisions.
Partner with Product Management, Development, Experience Design colleagues, and other stakeholders to prioritize and execute on project work and to ensure a cohesive experience.
Maintain familiarity with other Autodesk products and competitive products to ensure the viability of proposed solutions.
Develop next-generation experiences that make use of the latest agentic technologies and AI tools to accelerate decisions and drive better outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HCI, Interaction design
- 5+ years of professional UX or product design experience
- Strong portfolio showcasing ownership of end-to-end experiences for mobile and web products
- Experience within the fields of Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with 3D design/engineering/manufacturing software (Solidworks, Inventor, Pro/Engineer, etc)
- Proven ability to define experience strategy and influence product direction
- Deep expertise in translating complex user needs and business requirements into scalable, intuitive interaction models
- Strong proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
