Responsibilities
- Conduct user research including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and persona development to inform design decisions
- Apply established UX methodologies (e.g., design thinking, human-centered design) to create user-focused solutions
- Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for web and application interfaces
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and stakeholders
- Translate business and technical requirements into intuitive and engaging user experiences
- Contribute to and maintain a consistent design system and standards
- Utilize Java development knowledge to effectively collaborate with engineering teams and ensure design feasibility
- Present and defend design decisions using data, research insights, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in UI/UX research and design
- Demonstrated experience in user research and usability testing
- Strong understanding and practical application of UX methodologies
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a robust design portfolio showcasing end-to-end design processes
- Experience with or exposure to Java development and working in technical environments
- ServiceNow certification (e.g., Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow UX/UI Design Specialist)
- Portfolio of prior UX design work, preferably including enterprise applications or ServiceNow solutions
- Experience with ITAM, ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, or related ServiceNow modules
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and IT service management frameworks
- Experience designing for government, public sector, or regulated environments
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
