Responsibilities
- Design the human-AI interaction experience for Spring Health's user-facing AI agents across web and mobile platforms.

- Write, test, and optimize system prompts and exceptional UX copy.
- Partner deeply with Clinical and Product teams to ensure AI interactions drive clinically valid behavior change, focusing on internal motivation.
- Define conversational parameters and graceful error handling for edge cases, hallucinations, or ambiguous user intent.
- Collaborate with engineers to implement prompt versioning and evaluate conversational quality using testing frameworks.
- Design and prototype chat interfaces, considering latency, tool-calling UI, and user onboarding within our core design system.
- Act as a strategic design leader, regularly presenting conversational architecture, AI performance insights, and product vision to executives and extended leadership teams.
What success looks like
- Optimize AI interaction resolution rates and reduce the necessity for human fallback through refined conversational flows.
- Maintain exceptionally high member satisfaction scores specifically for AI-driven conversational experiences.
- Successfully define and integrate reusable AI interaction patterns into the design system within the first 6 months.
