Description
The Role
Please note this position will require 2 days per week on site in London.
- Use a range of research, testing and validation techniques to shape concepts and improve designs from the earliest stages.
- Work alongside researchersand wider product teams to turn customer feedback, research findings and behavioural insight into clear design opportunities.
- Test assumptionsand hypotheses throughout the design process, ensuring decisions are grounded in evidence rather than opinion.
Combine qualitative research with product dataand customer behaviour to understand pain pointsand identify areas for improvement.
Own The design of end-to-end digital experiences, consideringthe complete customer journey rather than individual screens or features.
Translate complex requirements into clear user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, interaction modelsand user flows.
Take ideas from early conceptsand sketches through to well-defined, intuitive digital experiences.
Design with the wider ecosystem in mind, understanding how individual journeys connect across different products, servicesand digital channels.
Work closely with Product, Researchand Engineering teams to balance user needs, commercial prioritiesand technical feasibility.
Use research insights, behavioural trendsand product performance data to guide design decisionsand prioritisation.
Partner with Product Managersand Product Owners to identify opportunities, influence product directionand establish measures of success.
Ensure experiences meet appropriate accessibility, usabilityand inclusive design standards.
Create high-fidelity interface designsand interactive prototypesin Figma, turning UX concepts into polished digital experiences.
Use prototypes to explore different approaches, communicate interaction behaviourand test ideas before development.
Design responsive experiences for web and mobile, considering different screen sizes, devices, platformsand accessibility needs.
Refine designs through an iterative process, incorporating user testing, stakeholder inputand feedback from development teams.
Create and apply reusable components, interaction patternsand design standards that improve consistency across products.
Contribute to the continued developmentand adoption of design systemsand component libraries.
Work closely with developers to make sure designs are practical to implement and that the finished product reflects the intended experience.
Champion strong standards across visual design, interaction design, accessibilityand overall design quality.
Work as part of a cross-functional product team, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Researchand other Design specialists.
Clearly communicate design thinkingand rationale, using research, customer insightand data to support recommendations.
Facilitate collaborative sessionsand design discussions to explore problems, generate ideasand build alignment.
Contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from discoveryand problem definition through to design, validationand delivery.
Help create a consistent customer experience across products by championing shared design principles, patternsand ways of working.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Strong experience across UX, Product or UI Design within digital productsand services.
- Experience translating user research, testing, customer insightand data into practical design solutions.
- Proven ability creating customer journeys, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI designsand interactive prototypes.
- Advanced experience with Figma, including responsive web/mobile designand prototyping.
- Experience using and contributing to design systems, component librariesand reusable patterns.
- Strong understanding of accessibility, inclusive designand user-centred design principles.
- Comfortable working in Agile, cross-functional teams, collaborating with Product, Researchand Engineering from discovery through to delivery.
