You will be joining our Design team reporting directly into Head of Design and collaborating across multiple teams. Our team is spread between Asia and Europe. Youโre welcome to work remotely from anywhere, with at least 4 hours overlap with with the people youโd be working closely with, or you can join us in our Hong Kong or London office. Due to the asynchronous nature of working that Goodnotes has adopted, any time difference will not impact your work-life balance.
About the role:
As a key member of our team, you will establish the UX writing function as an essential element of our product development and design processes. In collaboration with product managers, designers, researchers, and the marketing team, your role will be to craft clear, concise, and engaging content that enhances the intuitive and engaging experience of our products.

- Sharp, clear, and concise writing with the ability to adapt style and tone to different contexts
- Refine and update UX writing guidelines and the design system
- Develop and implement content strategies that align with business goals and user needs, including planning content for different stages of the user journey
- Conduct a UX Writing Audit, identifying inconsistencies, gaps, and opportunities for enhancing clarity and user engagement
- Ideate and design flows and features together with cross disciplinary partners to increase conversion and drive more optimal growth loops
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, often with varying scopes and timelines
The skills you will need to be successful in the above:
- Minimum of 5 years of UX writing or related design experience, preferably in software design, who have worked on cross-platform solutions and are experienced with multilingual app support
- Skills in refining and updating UX writing guidelines and design systems to ensure consistency and quality.
- Competence in developing and implementing content strategies that are aligned with business objectives and user needs.
- Capability to conduct thorough UX writing audits to identify content discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Knowledge of best practices for accessibility ensuring that our product is usable by everyone
- Experience in ideating and iterating on user journeys and design systems collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams to optimize user flows and increase conversions.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, ensuring responsibility for every detail throughout the process
- Be proficient in incorporating ongoing feedback into design refinements.
- Systems thinking, coupled with the flexibility to zoom in for detail and zoom out for a comprehensive understanding, connecting the dots effectively.
- Excel in working closely with designers, researchers, and other stakeholders to ensure that insights and evidence are effectively translated into the design process, fostering alignment across the team
- Consider existing insights, technical limitations, business requirements, and platform-specific needs to create solutions informed by data.

- Experience in designing productivity or learning experiences
- Experience in designing for collaboration solutions and tools
- Experience in user testing and continuous iteration
- Ability to work in multiple languages
- Experience in establishing localisation processes and evaluating quality.

The interview process:
- A 45 minute call with our Head of Design. This is the person who will be managing your day to day, working on your growth and development with you as well as support you throughout your career at GoodNotes. Youโll be expected to walk through your portfolio during this call.
- A one hour portfolio review with our design team and 1 or 2 people youโd be working closely with
