About the Role
- Lead design of Patreonβs core membership monetization experiences that help creators present their best work and convert fans.
- Design tools and touchpoints to deepen fan engagement and unlock sustainable revenue.
- Consider long-term fan journeys and multiple moments of engagement.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to clarify opportunities and deliver polished, user-centered solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead design for membership experiences that deepen creatorβfan relationships and drive monetization.
- Translate broad, multi-touchpoint journeys into clear product flows and strategies.
- Identify and design tools for creators to showcase work that inspires fan engagement and conversion.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Research to scope, iterate, and deliver high quality solutions.
- Use insights from research, data, and market analysis to guide design direction and validate solutions.
- Maintain high standards in visual and interaction design across membership experiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience focused on consumer-facing digital products.
- Proven experience designing complex, multi-step user journeys that drive retention, engagement, or monetization.
- Strong visual and interaction design skills with focus on clarity, simplicity, and detail.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and converging on clarity through exploration and iteration.
- Skilled collaborator building trust and alignment across disciplines.
- Portfolio demonstrating shipped, high-impact work with measurable results.
- [Nice to have] Experience in digital media, subscriptions, community platforms, or e-commerce.
- [Nice to have] Familiarity with fan engagement or membership-based product experiences.
Work Model
- Hybrid work model requiring in-office presence 2 days per week in New York or San Francisco.
