About the role
Loyal is less than 12 months away from the projected launch of our first product. Weโre seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer to specialize in creating engaging and user-friendly digital experiences. This role covers web design, UI/UX, social media content, and online advertising, ensuring that all digital touchpoints are visually appealing and aligned with Loyalโs brand..
You will be reporting to our Creative Director.
Your daily work will include:
- UI/UX
Develop intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for our D2V (direct-to-vet) product, taking best practices from ecommerce to create an intuitive and delightful purchasing experience. - Web design
Design and maintain Loyalโs website, ensuring a seamless user experience and consistent branding. - Clinical trial web experience
Iterate on Loyalโs digital properties related to clinical trials to optimize conversion. - Social media
Create compelling visuals and graphics for social media platforms to engage our audience and promote our brand. - Email marketing
Work with marketing team to optimize our email pipeline. - Online advertising
Design effective online advertisements that capture attention and drive engagement and conversions.
About you:
- 5+ years of experience in digital design, with a strong focus on web and UI/UX design.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools including Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong portfolio showcasing digital design projects, including websites, UI/UX work, and social media graphics.
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and basic web development principles.
- Experience working closely with engineering.
- Ability to create designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
While not required, weโd be especially excited if you:
- Experience in 3D design (e.g. Blender, Cinema 4D)
- Experience in motion graphics
- Experience in illustration
- Experience in photography/videography

Why you might not like this role:
- All designers at Loyal are expected to be design generalists or โfull-stackโ designers. This means that they are capable of carrying a project from ideation to final deliverables. This may include scoping projects, strategy, research, project management and creating production-ready assets that can be handed off to engineering.
- This is a fast-paced, rapidly-scaling startup environment.
- We may be comfortable with more ambiguity and uncertainty than you are accustomed to, as we like to test hypotheses early. Youโll need to be comfortable taking full responsibility for your area of expertise, with support and guidance from the rest of the team and company.
- Youโll need to be comfortable adapting to change, and operating in a fast-paced, highly-regulated environment.
- Youโll need to build and troubleshoot processes from scratch.
- Youโll need to be creative in solving problems, especially those without precedent.
