The Role

Responsibilities

• Understand and Align Goals: Quickly understand objectives, requirements, user goals, and use cases, and ask clarifying questions to refine your understanding and inform design decisions.
• Design Exceptional Solutions: Create designs that balance user and business needs, maintaining the story at the heart of the problem as you ideate and share your work. Incorporate micro-animations where appropriate to enhance user experiences.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless design-to-development workflow and deliver functional, scalable solutions.
• Leverage and Improve the Design System: Primarily use Zeta’s design system, propose updates or deviations with clear rationale, and contribute to its growth through thoughtful enhancements.
• Develop App Frameworks: Design and refine scalable app frameworks that support seamless user experiences across platforms.
• Innovate with Generative AI: Integrate Generative AI concepts and Gen UI patterns into product designs to enhance functionality and drive user engagement.
• Iterate and Test: Create moderately complex prototypes using tools like Figma, test your designs through user research, and iterate based on insights to optimize user experiences.
• Share Progress and Feedback: Proactively share your progress, seek feedback, and engage constructively in design critiques and cross-functional discussions.
• Deliver Results: Ship impactful product features across desktop and app platforms, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience designing user-centric SaaS or B2B products. Enterprise or marketing technology experience is a plus.
• UI & UX Expertise: Strong skills in visual and interaction design, with the ability to create clear mental models and intuitive workflows across desktop and app platforms.
• App Frameworks: Proven experience designing scalable app frameworks that enable cohesive and consistent user experiences.
• Generative AI and Gen UI: Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and the ability to incorporate Gen UI patterns into your designs.
• Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with best practices for designing responsive experiences for apps and desktop products, with an understanding of platform-specific patterns and constraints.
• Design Systems Knowledge: Solid understanding of design patterns and systems, with the ability to discuss pros and cons and leverage them effectively.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Adept at breaking down complex problems into actionable steps and identifying opportunities for impactful design solutions.
• Tools & Methods: Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, or similar). Familiarity with user testing processes and the ability to apply findings effectively.
• Customer-Driven Mindset: A strong desire to understand user needs and use data to inform design decisions.
• Collaboration Skills: Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with a pleasant and proactive approach to working with cross-functional partners.
