Taking over our Product Design function from Hugh who has moved into Product Management, you'll own Product Design at Mutinex end to end. You're joining us quite early so have a lot of opportunity to establish or improve processes, systems and have great impact on our product. We're also in the Ai & Machine Learning space, giving you exposure to designing for an extremely modern product.

We have a hybrid work environment and this role is to be Melbourne based to allow for semi-regular in person time with our Head of Product & Product Managers who are also Melbourne based.

The role

Working in a cross-functional product team as a Senior Product Designer, you will be working on user research, wireframes, prototypes and final UI designs while simultaneously creating the start of our design systems & component and pattern libraries.

You could be a Senior Product Designer wanting a change or a mid level designer ready to step to a Senior role with an opportunity for impact & leadership. Either way you should love the idea of and be comfortable in the scrappiness of an early stage startup.

What will the first 30-90 days look like?

You will first learn about the product, business and domain we sit in and then jump into some priority product features that need a designer's touch.

We'll also need you to get us set up on Figma properly, implement some foundational lean design processes and general best practices.

We then want you to do a UX review of the product, get to know our users, begin building personas and journey maps and contribute to product roadmap planning.

How success will be measured

• Foundational design systems & processes are in place 
• You've introduced quality and velocity to our Design process
• Delivering on our roadmap in collaboration with the cross functional team

What we are looking for

Must haves:

• Experience as a Mid to Senior level Designer or UX/UI Design in Product environments, ideally in early stage companies or products so you've had experience designing from scratch and not just polishing existing products
• A folio of beautiful product work 
• Experience creating design systems, processes and/or pattern libraries 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, managing Senior stakeholders through your design thinking
• Strong Figma skills
• Someone who is a self starter who can come in and tell us how to do design, not the other way around
