Your role at Kittl
The Senior Art Director will play a strategic and hands-on role in shaping the visual direction and creative quality of Kittlβs template library. Reporting directly to the Product Content Lead, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, template reviewers, and creators to ensure that Kittlβs templates are not only trend-responsive but also forward-thinking, unique, and aligned with the evolving needs of professional designers. This role includes managing one direct report (Art Director).What youβll do
- Template strategy & vision: Own the template roadmap, spot trends, identify gaps, and shape the creative vision
- Creative direction: Oversee visual quality, maintain design standards, and define guidelines across categories
- Production oversight: Lead the end-to-end template production, ensuring diverse, timely, high-quality output
- Innovation & trends: Monitor industry trends and translate high-level goals into actionable creative directions
- Team leadership: Manage and mentor the Art Director, aligning creative work with strategic goals
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Community teams to align template content
What youβll need
- Experience & portfolio: 5+ years in graphic design, branding, or visual content creation, with a strong portfolio across styles and formats
- Creative & design expertise: Solid understanding of design systems, typography, composition, color theory, and adaptation across platforms
- Project & team management: Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, lead or mentor designers, and maintain high creative standards
- Strategic thinking: Skilled at interpreting briefs and delivering visually compelling, strategically aligned outcomes
- Cross-functional collaboration: Comfortable working with product, marketing, and content teams, presenting ideas with clarity and confidence
- Technical skills: Hands-on with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and more; bonus for experience with templates, digital products, or creator platforms
