What weโre looking for
As a Product Designer at Puzzle Financial, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of a next generation financial data platform. This designer will be part of a delivery team responsible for projects that enhance the core existing functionality of Puzzle. The team will be focused on transforming the most important user interactions into delightful experiences through automation, increased flexibility, and user-driven customization of how they want to view their financial data.
The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of user-centered design principles and a strong portfolio showcasing their work. We are remote-first โ anywhere in the US or Canada works for us.
What youโll do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to conceptualize and define new features and product enhancements.
- Visualize and test design concepts, ranging from wireframes to high fidelity prototypes.
- Design visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for our web application, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Develop and contribute to the establishment of a cohesive design system, maintaining consistency across all design elements.
- Clearly communicate design decisions and rationales.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to incorporate relevant insights into the design process.
- Lead design sprints, workshops, and ideation sessions to foster a creative and collaborative design culture within Puzzle.
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability studies to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points in the financial domain.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of product design experience. You can design across the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to delivery.
- Proven experience taking complex ideas and turning them into a simple experience for users.
- Proficiency in Figma and other modern design tools.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a demonstrated ability to apply them to create user-friendly interfaces.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to present and justify design decisions to cross-functional teams.
- Adeptness at identifying and solving complex design challenges with creativity and precision.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in FinTech or with a B2B SaaS product
- Startup experience, or experience thriving in an unstructured, ambiguous environment.
