The team

• Lead of the Prime Trading desk, growing business by interfacing with clients and cross-functional teams including Engineers, Quants, Trading Ops, Sales, Account Management, and Legal/Compliance
• Guide the team in pricing and risk-managing trades
• Cover operational aspects of settlement

The opportunity

• Lead and Grow the Kraken Prime Platform: oversee all aspects of the Prime product, including strategy development, business development, execution, and risk management, ensuring long-term success
• Innovate and Lead on Trading Infrastructure: collaborate with tech teams to optimize and innovate the electronic trading infrastructure, from pricing engines to execution
• Cross-Desk Collaboration: work closely with other trading desks to align strategies, enhance liquidity, and drive synergies within the trading ecosystem
• Client Relationship Management and Business Development: collaborate with Institutional Sales and Trading teams to cultivate and maintain relationships with institutional clients and other stakeholders
• Drive business expansion within the institutional segment
• Work alongside Kraken traders and cryptocurrency researchers to enhance market knowledge and expertise

Skills you should HODL

• Trading Product Leadership Experience: 5+ years in product, trading, or technical leadership roles driving end-to-end development of institutional-grade platforms
• Client-Centric Thinking: ability to translate institutional client needs into scalable product solutions and drive long-term growth through strategic planning and business development
• Expert in Flow trading, Execution, and Risk: deep understanding of trade execution, market structure, pricing models, and risk management
• Quantitative and Analytical Expertise: strong quantitative skills, familiarity with financial markets modeling, excellent problem-solving and data translation skills
• Operational and Regulatory Awareness: experience with operational processes, risk models, compliance, and effective risk management
• Passion for Crypto and Innovation: deep passion for crypto industry with a learning attitude and willingness to innovate
• Exceptional Communication and Influence: ability to align stakeholders, articulate product decisions, and inspire teams
• Master’s or PhD in quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or related field
