- You’ll question the validity of those problems to begin with and use mixed methods research to ensure that our insights are aligned with success metrics to validate product improvements.
- As a Senior Product Researcher, you’ll help us raise the bar for our products by understanding our users, their challenges, and how to connect our business goals with a delightful user experience through qualitative and quantitative research.
What You Will Bring to DuckDuckGo
- 6+ years of experience in research-related roles, including 2+ years in senior-level research-related positions at significant global consumer brands.
- You're a proactive coordinator, working with product owners to integrate research into upcoming roadmaps that address critical user problems.
- Ability to generate both short and long-term research plans to understand critical user and product challenges.
- Proficiency in managing projects of varying complexity, while working transparently and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Expertise in hands-on qualitative research skills, namely executing diary studies, in-depth interviews, and usability testing from start to finish.
- Ability to run and analyze mid- to high-complexity quantitative research, including survey questionnaires.
- Proven experience combining quantitative data with qualitative insights to create well-rounded user stories that inform high-impact product recommendations.
- As an outcome of your research, you not only recommend opportunities to pursue further, you also define success criteria that can be used to evaluate progress toward those opportunities.
- Expertise in presenting research findings in a concise, written format that recommends follow-up projects and drives decisions.
- High level of comfort answering probing questions about your research findings.
- Eagerness to learn about competitor insights and ambiguous problems to help identify which opportunity to pursue next.
- Ability to define hypotheses and success metrics that keep our work objective and align cross-functional stakeholders.
Compensation
- $178,500 USD annually and stock options.
- Compensation is identical within professional levels, regardless of geographic location or team.
