Job Description
- Conduct and support user research activities, including interviews, surveys, observation, and usability testing, to identify user needs, pain points, goals, and behaviours.
- Analyse gathered data and research findings to synthesize key insights and inform design decisions.
- Create design deliverables including user flows, wireframes, prototypes (ranging from simple sketches to high-fidelity interactive models), and high-quality UI mock-ups to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Rapidly iterate on design solutions and work through details based on user feedback and technical feasibility.
- Conduct usability testing with real users to validate design solutions and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to align on goals and ensure designs are feasible for implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Psychology, or a related field is preferred, though practical experience and a strong portfolio are essential.
- Proven experience as a UX Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role, 2+ years of relevant experience.
- A strong portfolio showcasing experience creating user-centred design solutions, emphasizing thought processes and logical reasoning rather than just aesthetics.
- Experience in designing complex digital products, ideally for web, desktop and mobile platforms.
- Expertise in design software and modern prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Proficiency in key design activities including wireframing, prototyping, user flows, and interaction design.
- Ability to use analytics or metrics to inform design decisions and measure feature performance.
- Strong communication, presentation, and storytelling skills to articulate design ideas and rationale clearly to various stakeholders.
- High degree of empathy, demonstrating the ability to understand problems from the userβs point of view.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team (e.g., in an Agile/Scrum environment).
- Fluent in English, any other language a plus.
- Located and authorized to work in Germany, UK or France.
