As the UX Writer at Databento, you will
- Own copy across all product surfaces, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, and user-focused
- Collaborate with product designers to optimize user flows and improve the overall product experience
- Review product mockups and prototypes, providing copy recommendations and supporting design-to-engineering handoffs
- Partner with engineering teams to develop intuitive language for complex technical concepts and workflows
- Work closely with product and go-to-market teams to ensure product messaging aligns drives success of product
- Develop and maintain messaging frameworks, voice and tone guidelines, and copywriting standards
- Support content design initiatives
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on UX writing and content strategy
- Identify opportunities to improve product usability through thoughtful language and content design
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior job experience in UX/UI writing, product design, product marketing, technical writing, or any copywriting role
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered writing
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Strong understanding of UX principles and design
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design teams
- Familiarity with Figma
