We believe that design has a big impact on business and currently, we are looking for a Product Designer to join our team and take the experience of our app developers to the next level. In this role, you’ll work with our teams on the platform that allows anyone to build their own app (integration) to use in Make. You’ll work to deeply understand the business environment and needs of these customers (developers who are also often end users as well), and define the best experience for how they build apps and use Make. You’ll collaborate with a team of highly talented product managers, designers, and engineers who appreciate user experience and want to build the best products in the market.

The apps topic is a high impact part of Make’s business, and we’re looking for someone who is fascinated by understanding how developers think and build, as well as how the app building experience can be simplified for no-coders and also how we can help them showcase their apps to other customers.

What we are looking for:

  • A designer who believes that working in diverse teams and with complex systems brings out even more creativity
  • Hands-on experience with design at all stages, from concept to final hand-off (e.g. wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, UI assets)
  • Passionate about problem solving and understanding complex systems
  • Desire to innovate, to come up with new ideas
  • Strong desire to base UX decisions on user research and data. Able to design and run research and experiments.
  • Can apply UX/UI principles in service of a delightful but usable solution
  • Basic understanding of HTML & CSS and like to work proactively with developers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to give & receive constructive feedback in design reviews
  • Portfolio of prior UX work, with examples of shipped products including specific contributions in the design directions and decisions
  • Written and verbal fluency in English

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with Product Manager on understanding the needs of our apps developers and other personas
  • Identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end experience, by taking a holistic approach to the journey
  • Deliver detailed UI screens in Figma, and collaborate with PM and Engineering to align on requirements
  • Run experiments and deliver learnings based on which UX and Product decisions are made
