Job Description
Own end-to-end design for key product areas: From research and discovery to prototyping, testing, and polished execution - delivering experiences that delight customers and drive measurable business impact.Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering: Partner with PMs and engineers early and often - aligning on problems, defining success, and ensuring design intent is carried through to implementation.
Champion customer understanding: Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions, helping the team stay anchored in customer needs while driving toward business goals.
Elevate design quality and consistency: Collaborate with the team to evolve Shakepay’s design systems, ensuring a unified experience across our app, web, and marketing touchpoints.
Contribute to design culture and process: Help define how design works at Shakepay - be the person leadership looks to for taste, standards, and direction.
Mentor and guide other designers: Support the growth of our design team by providing thoughtful feedback, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of craft, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product design, with a strong track record of shipping consumer products.
- Deep experience designing end-to-end user journeys across mobile and web.
- Proven ability to balance craft, systems, and strategy - zooming in to the pixel level and out to the customer journey with equal clarity.
- Deep understanding of component-based design systems and scalable design patterns.
- Excellent communication skills - able to articulate design decisions clearly to both designers and non-designers.
- A natural collaborator who thrives in cross-functional teams and values strong partnerships with Product, Engineering and Marketing.
- Skilled at mentorship and design thought leadership through influence.
- Passion for Bitcoin, financial empowerment and the future of money.
