Responsibilities
- Create lines of business/state strategies including operational goals, customer experience, retention, quotes, sales, conversion, growth, underwriting quality, price segmentation, and claims trends
- Manage P&L for new lines of business and states
- File and gain approval for regulatory changes
- Align operational goals and measures across functions for financial planning and evaluation
- Define product market fit and translate customer insights into product enhancements with cross-functional collaboration
- Analyze feedback and data on coverage offerings, application process, and customer satisfaction
- Work with technical teams to enhance user and agent experience for states/products
- Communicate and plan state strategies with managers and leadership
- Improve and automate internal processes for insurance product development
Requirements
- 8-10 years of insurance experience
- 5+ years of specific insurance product line experience, home and auto preferred
- Underwriting and loss mitigation experience focused on geographies prone to severe convective storms or hurricanes
- In-depth knowledge of insurance products, pricing, risk, and regulatory requirements
- Proven managerial skills with success in developing and overseeing state P&Ls
- Strong ability to grasp new concepts and tools like Excel, SQL, Looker
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to ethical standards handling data, customers, and employees
- Outstanding project and time management skills in fast-paced environments
- Bonus points for Masterβs degree, CPCU, Actuarial Designations, ratemaking experience, Texas/Florida product management, competitive intelligence skills, and insurtech experience
