Responsibilities

  • Create lines of business/state strategies including operational goals, customer experience, retention, quotes, sales, conversion, growth, underwriting quality, price segmentation, and claims trends
  • Manage P&L for new lines of business and states
  • File and gain approval for regulatory changes
  • Align operational goals and measures across functions for financial planning and evaluation
  • Define product market fit and translate customer insights into product enhancements with cross-functional collaboration
  • Analyze feedback and data on coverage offerings, application process, and customer satisfaction
  • Work with technical teams to enhance user and agent experience for states/products
  • Communicate and plan state strategies with managers and leadership
  • Improve and automate internal processes for insurance product development

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of insurance experience
  • 5+ years of specific insurance product line experience, home and auto preferred
  • Underwriting and loss mitigation experience focused on geographies prone to severe convective storms or hurricanes
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products, pricing, risk, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven managerial skills with success in developing and overseeing state P&Ls
  • Strong ability to grasp new concepts and tools like Excel, SQL, Looker
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to ethical standards handling data, customers, and employees
  • Outstanding project and time management skills in fast-paced environments
  • Bonus points for Master’s degree, CPCU, Actuarial Designations, ratemaking experience, Texas/Florida product management, competitive intelligence skills, and insurtech experience
